Join us at Winks on June 21st!

We will be moving our June 21st show originally scheduled for the Bedford Heights Winking Lizard to a different, but equally exciting venue: Winks Bar and Grille in the Galleria downtown!

Winks is a new flavor of restaurant from the folks who have brought you the Winking Lizard and Lizardville.  From their site:

“Winks features a full kitchen serving a menu of delicious food, 33 taps of craft beer, mixologist created craft cocktails, a huge selection of Ohio and California wines, more than 50 kinds of whiskey and more!”

And now they will also be featuring Skinny Moo!  What’s not to like?

We hope to see you there on the 21st when we throw the funk down downtown.

Due to chilly weather forecasts for this Friday May 24th, our Winking Lizard show originally scheduled for the Bedford Heights location has been moved to the Lakewood location:

We will be performing in Chesterland at the St. Anselm Parish Festival this Thursday from 7PM – 11PM. This marks their 41st annual festival, and our first appearance there. It sounds like it will be a great time for the whole family, so please join us for the evening.

Our spring break

We’ve had several weeks off, during which we’ve rehearsed, checked out some other bands’ shows, done some traveling (ask Jay about Shanghai!) and generally recharged our batteries.

But that shit is over now. We are ready to rock the Greenville this Saturday night.

We hope to see you there, so we can party like Led Zeppelin at the Edgewater Hotel. You can Google that, by the way.  Enjoy, and we hope to see you Saturday!

We had a blast last night at the Greenville. It was our own bass-slinging Mike Crow’s birthday (we won’t say how old he is), and we’re cautiously optimistic that he had a good time. We also had a surprise guest appearance by the inestimable Steve Renko, who you may recall filled in for Charley on drums for an extended period last year.

And of course there were so many of our favorite Greenville people there, including the “Most Interesting Man in the World”:

We are off for the month of March, and we look forward to returning to the Greenville on Saturday April 6th with a bunch of new riffage in our gig bags. Mark your calendars – we want to see you there!

We had a great time at Johnny Malloy’s in Medina last night. The stage is gone, and it was good to have our feet on the ground again, especially with a packed house all night long.

We enjoyed debuting some new material, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Sorry we couldn’t get to all the requests – we will try to hit some of them at our next show at Johnny Malloy’s on Saturday April 27.

Meanwhile, prepare yourselves for this Saturday’s show at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls! We hope to catch up with you there…

Jay captured in a rare speechless moment

Woo, it’s been a cold week! After digging out of several days of snowfall, and living through a few Groundhog Day moments, we are ready to heat things up!

Please join us at the Medina Johnny Malloy’s this Saturday night for a frisky evening of fun. We continue to add shocking new material to our repertoire, so you won’t want to miss those moments of pure panic on the dance floor.

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s Eve and that everyone is slowly adjusting to writing “2013″ on their checks. We are still recovering from our NYE show in Medina (we will post pictures soon – allegedly), but we wanted to say thanks to everyone who made 2012 a great year of musical fun for us.

We’re looking forward to continuing the trend this year – which happens to be the 10th year of the current incarnation of Skinny Moo.  Over the course of the year we will be rolling out a few fun surprises, both at shows and here at skinnymoo.com. Stay tuned!

We had a ball at Johnny Malloy’s in Medina last night. Thanks to JM for having us, and thanks to everyone that came out, wore costumes, and had a fun time.

We’re looking forward to a Christmas/birthday celebration when we return to Johnny Malloy’s on Saturday December 15th. We hope to see you then!
