FUNds for Kids Music Jam at Ferrell-Whited

Please join us this Saturday as we perform at the FUNds for Kids Music Jam presented by Ferrell-Whited Physical Therapy Services.

The event benefits the “Miracle League of Northeast Ohio”, whose mission is to provide the opportunity for children and adults with special needs in Medina county a chance to experience playing baseball in a league based environment!

This event will be held RAIN OR SHINE! A silent auction and 50/50 raffle will be held inside their Main Clinic, with the rest of the fun in the parking lot with SKINNY MOO. Parking will be available at surrounding businesses. You don’t want to miss it!

Feeling a bit “ish” about “Big Foot & the Fish”

The DVD Premier of Big Foot

If you’re in this crazy music business long enough, you will eventually run across one of those gigs where you find yourself looking around at your fellow band-mates and saying, “Oof! this is going to be a long night.”

Admittedly we were all a little “concerned-ish” for a few reasons last night: walking into a club we’d never played before; feeling the glances from the few regulars around the bar that were wondering what the deal was with the singer’s head dressing; the Brown Note’s gastrointestinal issues; being the featured entertainment for a DVD Movie premier night/fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation which had somehow been double-booked with an event put on by the singles group “Plenty of Fish“.

So we collectively put on our “rock faces”, did a quick sound check, a round of speed dating and before we knew it the magical “Mootsy” pixie dust (that we tossed into the smoke machine) had started to take effect. Midway through the first set (around 9-ish) folks started piling in. Upon ingesting this foreign musical aphrodisiac, peeps couldn’t help but to migrate to the dance floor. The party was on and the rest was recorded into the storied Skinny Moo history books.

Big thanks to Bob Gray and the cast & crew of “Bigfoot“, all the fun folks with the “Plenty of Fish” group, Doug the sound engineer, and the staff at the Thirsty Camel that were extremely hospitable. We look forward to coming back there soon!
