A Moo birthday gig at the Greenville Inn

Another great night at the Ville

We had a blast last night at the Greenville. It was our own bass-slinging Mike Crow’s birthday (we won’t say how old he is), and we’re cautiously optimistic that he had a good time. We also had a surprise guest appearance by the inestimable Steve Renko, who you may recall filled in for Charley on drums for an extended period last year.

And of course there were so many of our favorite Greenville people there, including the “Most Interesting Man in the World”:

The World's Most Interesting Man

We are off for the month of March, and we look forward to returning to the Greenville on Saturday April 6th with a bunch of new riffage in our gig bags. Mark your calendars – we want to see you there!

St. Patrick's Day at the Greenville

Happy green beer day

We had a stellar holiday show last weekend at the Greenville at our annual St. Patrick’s Day show. The place was full of party people who danced all night, and only fell down a few times! Hey, nothing got broken so it was all good!

We’ve posted pics in the gallery. We also had to include the following because it’s highly entertaining:

Skinny Moo Rocking the Greenville November 5, 2011
After an admittedly unexpected night of AWESOMENESS at the Medina Sting Benefit at Weymouth Country Club and the Ghoulish Rock-Sauce that spewed from our 2nd annual Halloween fest at Johnny Malloy’s in Medina until the wee hours of Sunday morning last week, we didn’t think it could get much better. But once again, the Chagrin Falls faithful Moopies showed up in force. If you’ve never been there, a night with Skinny Moo at Greenville is a one-of-a-kind experience. Just an absolutely amazing vibe. From before we even got setup to the time change – the crowd was pumped and ready for another unforgettable night.

It was so cool to see those we haven’t seen in a while and a number of NEW faces! There’s nothing more satisfying then watching a Moo Virgin take in the experience for the first time. I believe the new Skinny Moo musical entrees along with some new snippets that included PINK, LL COOL J & Dr DRE (Scotty crept to the mic like a vandal!) were well received.

Once again another epic night at the ville’ – we love you guys! Keep bringing it.

Looks like we maaaade it!

Whoo, what a weekend. It’s taken a few days to just recover from our Saturday night at the Greenville Inn. We will forever remember the ‘Ville as the place we would most likely want to spend the actual end of the world.

Coming right up: the kickoff of the Winking Lizard’s Summer Concert Series! Join us on Friday at 5:30 PM on the patio outside the Bedford Heights Winking Lizard for an all-ages show that will undoubtedly be full of surprises.

And on Saturday we will return to Johnny Malloy’s in Medina, dressed as the Village People*. That’s a show you won’t want to miss!

*Pure speculation, don’t get your hopes up.

Skinny Moo rocks July

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

The guys at Skinny Moo HQ would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day weekend. Don’t burn yourself out during the holiday, though, because there’s lots of Skinny Moo coming your way in July.

We make our first appearance at Rockin’ On the River in Cuyahoga Falls on Friday July 9th. Details are forthcoming.

We return to Slim and Chubby’s in Strongsville on Saturday July 10th, the Bedford Winking Lizard and Greenville Inn on the 16th and 17th respectively, and return to Medina’s fabled Rally in the Alley on the 23rd.

We’ll cap off the month with another appearance at Legends in Medina as well.

Check the schedule page for more details. As always, we look forward to seeing you at the shows.

The Greenville delivers again

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Greenville Inn last night. What a night! A packed house full of people having a blast, dancing on the tables and enjoying our unique type of show.

Highlights included some unexpected Stevie Wonder in the middle of a Sly and the Family Stone song, “California Love” and “Big Poppa” rearing up during “Play That Funky Music“, and a whole bunch of other wacky musical surprises.

We’re looking forward to another great night at the ‘Ville when we return on Saturday July 17th. Meanwhile, pics are posted in the gallery.

Winking Lizard Tonight!

Sinny Moo <3 Queen Bea

We’re excited to be back in action after a few weeks of R+R. We return to the Winking Lizard patio in Bedford Ohio tonight, playing from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. It’s fun for the whole family!

And, of course, we hope we are fortunate enough to see our favorite Skinny Moo/Winking Lizard fan Queen Bea. No one takes better care of the Moo men when we are at the Liz!

Hope to see you there. If you can’t make it, you can catch us at our next east side show tomorrow night at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls!

Go Cavs!

Moo at Los Ville

Admittedly we were a little bummed that we had to play a show during game 3 this past Saturday night.  However, we got to see the first half of the Cavs game on the Greenville’s big projection TV (and the other countless monitors around the bar).  Awesome!

Ultimately everyone (including us) got to enjoy another Cleveland basketball victory.   Right ON!  We did have to play for most of the second half, but everyone was up to the task of enjoying Skinny Moo music while watching the game.  And when the game was over, everything kicked into high gear.  People were celebrating like mad fools!

There was the guy who fell backwards over one of our monitor speakers, then bounced up and fell down again.  It looked like a cartoon.  Scotty had to do a double-take to make sure it really happened.  Then there was the lovely young lady who fell into Charley’s drum kit – she said it was a shoe malfunction.  Possibly caused by Jagermeister.

Another partygoer fell into the drum kit as well.  We would like to offer up the following public service announcement:

“Drums have lots of sharp edges and poke-y metal rods and stuff, so unless you want to wake up with a hangover, one eye, and a bill for drum repair, be drunk while far away from the drums!”

All told, it was a fun night of revelry and everyone enjoyed themselves, including us.  We look forward to our return to the ‘Ville in July.

Putting Some “Rock” In Your “Shamrock”

Sham-ROCK Baby

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.  We’re getting ready to head across town to bring some Skinny Moo action to the Greenville Inn.  Hopefully everyone has… paced themselves today so they can enjoy a startling variety of musical shenanigans this evening.

We will report back afterward, along with details about our fun Friday the 13th at the Time Warp.

Greenville Inn – CANCELLED

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Lucky?

Guess Friday the 13th really isn’t lucky.  We’ve had to cancel our show at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls tonight.  Members of the Moo Crew are down with the flu.

We’re bummed, but we have our next Greenville show to look forward to: St. Patrick’s Day (Tuesday March 17th)!  We will eat our chicken soup and take our vitamins so we can bring the rock then.
