The Entertainment Chalk Song

Tuesday, April 16th, 2013

This past Friday our video with the Cavs mascots Sir C.C. and Moondog was broadcast on the jumbotron at the Q. Talk about lager-than-life!

If you weren’t there to enjoy it in all of its arena-filling glory, you’re in luck: you can see it right here!

Thanks again to the Cavs, Moondog, Sir C.C, and all the QTV folks that we met while we were downtown.

St. Patrick's Day at the Greenville

Happy green beer day

We had a stellar holiday show last weekend at the Greenville at our annual St. Patrick’s Day show. The place was full of party people who danced all night, and only fell down a few times! Hey, nothing got broken so it was all good!

We’ve posted pics in the gallery. We also had to include the following because it’s highly entertaining:

Sweet Home…

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

On the heels of our posting about “a night in the life of a cover band“, we thought we’d share this gem.

Sometimes it becomes… er, challenging when the audience doesn’t get fired up for even the most die-hard, classic party songs. As anyone who has seen Skinny Moo knows, we enjoy taking liberties with songs – creating on-the-fly mashups, mixing musical styles, and generally making music fun.

Here’s a good example. From the unorthodox change from the standard cover to a totally different style, to the reggae-fied inclusion of Kid Rock, it’s a classic example of Skinny Moo being irreverent and entertaining all at once:

Another fantastic party

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

We had a great time tonight at a very cool party out in Vermilion. The weather was great, the location was unbelievable, and everyone was having a great time (especially “Boomerang Becky”).

Our new friend Celeste caught a little video (with great sound) from early in the evening. Enjoy!

Thanks Celeste!

Brick House: 1/10/2009

Monday, August 17th, 2009

We at Moo HQ have had a couple weeks off, and during this time to get all Zen and reflect, we discovered some video in the vault from a wintry evening in January of this year.

Without further ado, let us present Skinny Moo”s zestfully entertaining, occasionally profane, multi-song interpretation of “Brick House” by the Commodores.

And yes, Jay did say, “Wellll I”m a brick… house… She likes to bite me, and lettin” it all hang out,” at the end.  Sorry.

Sly Funk Station

Packed to the Rafters at the WPS

What a weekend: smoke machines, adult beverages, cover tunes, drunk funksters.  We packed a lot of action into just two nights on Friday and Saturday.

Friday night saw our first return to the Sly Fox in North Olmsted since the blazing wintery months early in the year.  As always the sound was spectacular and everyone was having a great time.  This time around, Chazmo even brought an accessory to assist him in dealing with the hard-working smoke machine.

Say Hello to Chazmo’s Little Friend

We won’t mention the band member that had some gear difficulty which led to the historic outburst, “M*therf*cK%R!!”  Suffice it to say that it was highly entertaining and no Moo personnel were harmed in the making of Friday night’s festivities.

And of course there was West Park Station on Friday:

Seemed like lots of folks were warmed up by the solo acoustic stylings of Steve Michaels on Saturday.  Many folks, in fact, demanded their ration of funk, including our friend above. Skinny Moo delivered the funk like junk in the trunk. Of course we also had to drop some rock and pop and assorted other stylee tunes for the ladies (which some of the funksters didn’t seem to understand).

We’ll be posting a few pics soon.
