Monday, March 12th, 2018

Save up some energy on your St. Patrick’s Day holiday because we are celebrating at the Greenville Inn on Saturday night!

NOTE: We will be playing earlier than usual (8PM – Midnight)!

That should give you some time to enjoy the holiday, have a nice nap, and then get to Chagrin Falls for some booty shakin’!

We look forward to seeing you there…

Skinny Moo at the Greenville

Pace yourself this St. Patrick’s Day – or come out for a little hair ‘o the dog – because we return to the ‘Ville on Saturday March 18th.

We had a packed house last time we played the Greenville – it was great! Let’s do it again!

Saturday March 14: “St. Practice Day” at Johnny Malloy’s (Medina)

Jay drinks green beer

Mmmmm... green.

You know, sometimes St. Patrick’s Day falls on an inopportune party day – like a Tuesday, for example. And although that won’t necessarily dissuade the planners out there (saved a day off for Wednesday, did ya?), wouldn’t it be nice to be able to celebrate appropriately without burning some vacation? You know, something like a “pre-holiday”, if you will.

Well we here at Moo HQ would like to let you know that you’ve reached the end of your personal rainbow.  And there’s a pot of funky gold there, my friend. We like to call it “St. Practice Day“.

Yes, we will be hosting a (not) dry run of St. Paddy’s at that Medina jewel Johnny Malloy’s. Join us on Saturday night for all things green. It’ll be just like the real thing, except that you can sleep in with impunity on Sunday morning!

St. Patrick’s Day fun

St. Patrick's Day at the Greenville

Happy green beer day

We had a stellar holiday show last weekend at the Greenville at our annual St. Patrick’s Day show. The place was full of party people who danced all night, and only fell down a few times! Hey, nothing got broken so it was all good!

We’ve posted pics in the gallery. We also had to include the following because it’s highly entertaining:

The Moo fellas with their youngest fan (-1 month old!)

We had a great night at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls on Saturday the 14th. Thanks to everyone who came out and packed the place for our first couple of sets. It was great to see everyone despite the weather.

Extra special thanks to the die-hards that stuck around for the last set, even though the snow continued to fall. We hope everyone made it home safe and sound.

Pics are posted in the gallery!

We’re very much looking forward to our return to the ‘Ville on St. Patrick’s Day this year. We look forward to an awesome Saturday evening on March 17th, and hope you’ll join us in your best Green(ville)ery.

Breaking in the Greenville, 2012 style

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

We’re excited to start 2012 off at one of our favorite places to play: Chagrin’s Greenville Inn. Join us there on Saturday the 14th (we sneakily avoided the “unlucky” Friday the 13th gig!) and enjoy fun, funk, funny dancing on the tables, and a fundamentally good time.

By the way, we will be returning to the Greenville this year for our annual St. Patrick’s Day show. The last several years, the holiday has fallen on some decidedly non-party days of the week. This year, though…

St. Patrick’s Day is on Saturday. Holy $#1@! Finally we can all sleep off our green-beer hangovers in peace!

Anyway, we hope we’ll see you this Saturday night, and that you’ll mark your calendars to join us on March 17th too!

A little Green(ville) on St. Pat’s

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

We enjoyed yet another mid-week St. Patrick’s Day show at Chagrin’s fabled Greenville Inn.  Despite the fact that it was a “school night” (Wednesday), we had an enthusiastic party crowd that stuck with us for the duration of the evening.

We hope you all enjoyed that holiday.  Check out pics in the gallery.

Putting Some “Rock” In Your “Shamrock”

Sham-ROCK Baby

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.  We’re getting ready to head across town to bring some Skinny Moo action to the Greenville Inn.  Hopefully everyone has… paced themselves today so they can enjoy a startling variety of musical shenanigans this evening.

We will report back afterward, along with details about our fun Friday the 13th at the Time Warp.

If you didn’t know, Saint Patrick’s Day in Ohio is what we like to refer to as a “drinking holiday”.  What this boils down to, in corned beef and cabbage terms, is an early start at the bar.  Like, pre-seven-A-M drinking.  Wow.

As a result, lots of bands perform early in the morning to well-tuned crowds.  Our own Mike Crow performed at Cleveland’s House of Blues with the Brian and Joe Band, reportedly downing a shot of Grey Goose at the robust drinking time of 7:45 in the morning.  Top o’  the mornin’ for sure.

Some bands perform in the afternoon for the folks that have been drinking since the parade hours, along with the folks that have bailed out of work early to get their Irish on.  Jeff performed such a show with Bonfire, rocking the Jigsaw in Parma before having to throw all of his gear into his ride and hoof it over to the Greenville (you’ll note in the pics that he’s still wearing his “Angus” threads.  Wicked.).

We had the pleasure of playing at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls from 8:30 to 12:30, slightly earlier than usual since the holiday fell on a Monday this year.  Despite this fact, there were still plenty of folks still standing – dancing, even!  We had a fun-filled evening, delivering some musical twists and turns (Zeppelin in the middle of Sly and the Family Stone, anyone?  Has anyone seen my eye?).  The crowd was pretty strong until the end of the evening when (we assume) folks crept home to get some shuteye before work on Tuesday.  Although it did seem like a disproportionate amount of people had planned ahead and taken a day off on Tuesday in preparation for their recovery.

So Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to everyone!  We’ll round out March with a couple more shows, and then we’re headed into spring at last.  Hope to catch you all soon.
