A lot of “firsts” at the Greenville

View from the Greenville stage - click to embiggen

This past weekend we had a crazy night at Chagrin’s own Greenville Inn. It was an evening filled with “firsts”:

  • It was the first time we ever share the night with another band. Our friends The Props came out to play a set to start the night. They were great, and were a huge help to us all night.
  • It was the first time we have played a gig without Charley. Unfortunately Charley is temporarily out of action with some leg problems, so we had Steve Renko fill in for him. Steve did a tremendous job and rocked out all night. Thanks Steve!
  • It was the first time we’ve seen the Greenville decorated for a birthday party. Our friend Karen had her birthday at the ‘Ville, complete with purple paper covering the tables, balloons everywhere, and tons and tons of food. Note to the hungry drunk dudes at the end of the night: thank her for the grub!
  • It was the first time we didn’t have to gaff-tape our power supply plug to the outlet. Yes, in an historic moment, Mike convinced the Greenville ownership to replace the ancient outlet on the stage. For almost 10 years, that outlet has been the bane of our gigs there because you’d plug in your gear… and the plug would just slide back out. Unfortunately this happened a couple times during the Props’ set, taking out the PA while they were playing. As we switched over and prepared to play, the Greenville management replaced the outlet. Valhalla!

We’re looking forward to another unusual return to the Greenville in May: we’ll be playing on a Thursday evening on May 24 for the Chagrin Blossom Time festival.  We hope you can join us for the fun!

The Moo fellas with their youngest fan (-1 month old!)

We had a great night at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls on Saturday the 14th. Thanks to everyone who came out and packed the place for our first couple of sets. It was great to see everyone despite the weather.

Extra special thanks to the die-hards that stuck around for the last set, even though the snow continued to fall. We hope everyone made it home safe and sound.

Pics are posted in the gallery!

We’re very much looking forward to our return to the ‘Ville on St. Patrick’s Day this year. We look forward to an awesome Saturday evening on March 17th, and hope you’ll join us in your best Green(ville)ery.

Skinny Moo APB

Be on the lookout for these men!

This is an ALL POINTS BULLETIN to alert everyone that this Friday 9/4/09, Skinny Moo will be remanded to Mayfield’s Boneyard for the first time in nearly a year.

All local residents are advised to mark the occasion by bringing throngs of friends and hangers-on to see the alleged band at the emporium that is the Boneyard: fun and games, a restaurant that overlooks the stage, and a large barroom which is the likely spot to catch these perpetrators in the act of “rocking out”.

East side accomplices, take note. You are being watched. Attempts to join Skinny Moo for “merriment” will result in lots of busts. Allegedly.

Winking Lizard Tonight!

Sinny Moo <3 Queen Bea

We’re excited to be back in action after a few weeks of R+R. We return to the Winking Lizard patio in Bedford Ohio tonight, playing from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. It’s fun for the whole family!

And, of course, we hope we are fortunate enough to see our favorite Skinny Moo/Winking Lizard fan Queen Bea. No one takes better care of the Moo men when we are at the Liz!

Hope to see you there. If you can’t make it, you can catch us at our next east side show tomorrow night at the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls!
